Forms 3 - 4. Easter

For students of the third (3-rd) and fourth (4-th) forms.

Easter
Easter is a great holiday in Ukraine. People celebrate it in spring.
In Ukraine people make Easter cakes called ‘paskas’. They paint eggs beautifully. A coloured egg is called ‘pysanka’. They put one Easter cake, some sausage, Easter eggs, some ham, some leaf lard, some butter, some cheese, some salt and some horse-radish into the baskets. They put a candle too.
On Easter Sunday people usually go to church with their baskets, give thanks to Christ, sing Easter songs, listen to music. Families have a big dinner. The children like to play with pysankas.
In England people like eating hot cross buns. They say at Easter the Easter bunny brings coloured eggs.
